ROSS (Resident Opportunities and Self-Sufficiency) Coordinator

This HUD funded position will directly provide and coordinate invaluable supportive services designed to help Durham Housing Authority residents attain health and wellness and self-sufficiency. This program works to promote the development of local strategies to coordinate the use of assistance under the Public Housing program with public and private resources, for supportive services and resident empowerment activities. The services and support provided will enable participating families to increase their earned income, reduce or eliminate the need for welfare assistance, make progress towards achieving economic independence, receive aging-in-place activities and housing self-sufficiency. Funding for this position is limited to the grant cycle of three years. Requires Bachelor’s degree with coursework in social sciences or related field and extensive experience in human services. Must be experienced in working with low-income families and have a minimum of 4 years of case management experience.
