Property Manager (Tax Credit)

Pay rate: Hiring Salary Range: $48,228.69 to $62,697.31

Responsible for the overall operation, and the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed and maintained Community. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and federal, state, and local laws; maintains acceptable and supportive environment for all residents; manages site staff and their duties, interacts with and supervises vendors. This individual must have experience managing Tax Credit properties.

The incumbent for this position hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates staff necessary to carry out various assignments at the community.
Interviews and screens prospective residents for occupancy.
Identifies appropriate contractors and defines scope of work.

Oversees maintenance program consisting of maintenance supervision, inspections and monitoring work orders.
Processes invoices and submits for payment.
Rent collection, receipting, prepares deposits using TenMast property management software.
Submits required reports and maintains records according to company policy.
Reviews and approves employee payroll.
Conducts monthly staff meetings.


Requires bachelor’s degree a minimum, ideally with a focus in management, public policy, urban planning or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3+ years of leadership experience in property management with the ability to motivate staff and communicate effectively; Tax Credit experience, private market, mixed income property management and experience involving public contact is REQUIRED.
Experience in effective marketing.
Excellent problem solving, listening, and reasoning skills.
Ability to empathize with residents and staff, while still enforcing community rules and policies.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with common Microsoft software applications and property management software.
