HOUSEKEEPING
Regular housekeeping supports healthier living conditions for your household and helps protect the quality of our communities. The Agency remains committed to providing support through maintenance services and inspections when needed, and we appreciate your continued partnership in keeping our homes and neighborhoods clean, safe, and well cared for.

HUD INSPECTIONS
Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy home is a shared responsibility between residents and the Agency. Residents are expected to consistently keep their units in a sanitary condition, including proper trash disposal, routine cleaning, and addressing minor housekeeping needs that help prevent pests, odors, and safety hazards.

SINKHOLE UPDATE

A fenced off area behind several homes.

The engineering company has finished their testing and review. Based on their recommendations, we are moving forward with repairs.

Construction is expected to begin August 2026.

We know this issue has affected the look and use of our shared community space, and we truly appreciate your patience while we took the necessary steps to make sure the repairs are done safely and correctly.

As we move closer to the start date, we will provide more information regarding the amount of work, expected timeline, and any temporary changes that may be required during construction. Our goal is to complete the repairs efficiently while not causing too much disruption to residents.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and dedication to our community. More information will be shared in the near future.

Please continue to stay clear of the area.

COMMUNITY CLEAN UP
Our community is more than just housing, it's home. The condition of our property reflects all of us, and keeping it clean, safe, and welcoming requires a shared commitment.

While management and maintenance staff are responsible for groundskeeping, trash removal, and repairs, residents play an equally important role in maintaining the overall appearance and health of our community.

FLOODING PARKING LOTS

A flooded parking lot in front of a building.

To ensure the continued safety and appearance of our community, DHA has invested over $75,000 to repair the collapsed pipes that previously caused flooding in the parking lots.

To assist, please do not place trash down the drains.

RENT COLLECTIONS
Cornwallis has received about 60% of this month's rent. Rent payments help us keep our community safe, clean, and running smoothly. They cover maintenance, utilities, staff, and community programs.

If you're having trouble paying your rent, please contact the management office as soon as possible. We're here to help and can talk with you about payment options or connect you with resources that may be available.

GRANT FUNDING
DHA has secured approximately $3 million in grant funding at the Cornwallis community to support unit and building improvements. This has included things such as, the replacement of HVAC systems, new unit entry doors, new appliances, resurfacing of kitchen cabinets, smoke detector replacements, installation of exhaust fans, and new flooring.
